Acquisition: The records were given to the Charles Babbage Institute in several accessions by a number of individuals, institutions, and corporations.

Historical Note

Computer manuals were published, most often by their manufacturers, to help those who had purchased their equipment to run and maintain it.

Scope and Content Note

The Corporate Manuals Collection contains manuals and other post-purchase product information for specific computer hardware and software including some documents created by non-profit corporations such as the Rand Corporation. Marketing and advertising literature will be found in the Product Literature Collection.

Arrangement of the Collection

The Corporate Manuals are arranged alphabetically by corporate name. Each corporate entry is further subdivided by product.
