Scope and Content Note

This series consists mainly of analysis and reports on attitudes toward the Control Data Corporation (CDC) and its products, resulting from surveys and studies of CDC employees and outside groups. The outside groups of interest to CDC included potential customers, educators, investors, stock analysts, lenders, and policy makers. The majority of reports regarding outside groups were produced by outside firms. CDC employee surveys and resulting reports were usually produced in-house.

Also included is information on corporate logos, analysis of PLATO advertising, and literature produced by CDC on company identity and the company's Corporate Identification Program, which provided employees with policies and standards for product and corporate identification.
