Richard (Dickie) M. George

 

Richard (Dickie) M. George, a graduate of Dartmouth College, was the Information Assurance Technical Director at National Security Agency. He joined the NSA's Crypto-Math Intern Program out of college, completing tours in the Research program, the SIGINT Directorate, and the Information Assurance Directorate's predecessor organization.(1) Aside from tours in the Signals Intelligence Directorate, and the Center for Communications Research in Princeton, was part of the Information Assurance Directorate starting in 1973, and its director from 2003 until his recent retirement.(2) He has spent his time since retirement speaking at academic institutions, and making connections between members of industry who are interested in improving the security of their products.(3)
