Data Security Controls and Procedures

Data Security Controls and Procedures - A Philosophy for DP Installations, IBM, White Plains, NY: 1976.

This book answers questions about reconciling security and production requirements, establishing control over programming, operations, and systems development, and about who is responsible for security. Three categories of security measures are addressed, including physical, backup and recovery, and controls and procedures, and five perspectives on the computer's contribution to security are examined, including system properties, interface controls, traditional classes of controls, functional duties, and plans and programs.(1)
